1969 Map of Rye

USGS Topo · Published 1991

About this map

Rye and the nascent development of Colorado City sit at the eastern edge of the San Isabel National Forest in this late 1960s topographic survey. The landscape is defined by a dense network of watercourses, including the various forks of Muddy Creek, which drain from the high elevations of Table Mountain and the Huckleberry Hills. Community life is centered around the High Sch, the Fish Hatchery, and the Brookside Cem near the town of Rye.
