The southern portion of the survey captures the transition into Fulton County near New Grenada, featuring significant forest tracts within Buchanan State Forest. Watercourses such as Great Trough Creek and Roaring Run carve through the valleys, supporting a network of small family-named features and rural cemeteries, including Mt Pleasant Cem.
