Brownson Cem sits near the northern boundary of this coastal prairie landscape, where the borders of Colorado, Lavaca, and Wharton counties converge. The terrain is defined by a dense network of seasonal drainages, most notably the meandering course of Sandy Cr and the distinct branches of Turkey Creek, including E Turkey Cr, W Turkey Cr, and Middle Turkey Cr. These waterways create a complex hydrological pattern across the rural acreage, interspersed with localized wetlands and small ponds.
