The Tongass National Forest dominates this Alaskan landscape, where the Hoonah-Angoon Census Area Sitka City and Borough boundary crosses a complex network of waterways and mountains. Central to the geography are Goulding Lake and Otter Lake, which feed into the drainage systems of the Steelhead River and the Goulding River. To the north, Soloma Point and Soloma Flat overlook the waters near where the Lisianski River meets the interior.
