Lakeview sits at the northern edge of the Centennial Mountains, serving as a gateway to the extensive wetlands of the Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge. This high-altitude landscape is defined by the Continental Divide, which separates the waters of the Missouri River basin from the Snake River system. The terrain transitions sharply from the moist valley floor of the Centennial Valley near Lower Red Rock Lake to the prominent peaks of Baldy Mtn and Slide Mtn.
