Spring Mountain sits at the heart of this dissected plateau region on the border of Holmes and Coshocton Counties. The landscape is defined by its deep drainages, including Wolf Cr and Hoagland Run, which carve through the high ground of French Ridge. The small settlements of Stillwell, New Princeton, and the curiously named Fort Fizzle are connected by a network of township roads and US Rte 62, illustrating the persistent rural character of this part of Ohio.
