The Stanley settlement area sits at the base of several prominent ridges in northern Pushmataha County. This landscape is defined by the winding course of the Kiamichi River, which flows through the valley alongside Stanley Cem. North of the settlement, the terrain rises sharply toward Flagpole Mtn and the distinctive geological formation known as Umbrella Rock.
