The Endicott Mountains dominate this high-latitude terrain, where the northern wilderness is preserved within Gates Of The Arctic National Park. This 2016 survey documents a landscape defined by dramatic elevation changes and significant watercourses that drain the Brooks Range. The Kutuk River flows southward through the center of the sheet, eventually meeting the Alatna River at the southern boundary.
