Denali National Park encompasses much of this interior Alaskan landscape, dominated by the massive ice flows of the Kahiltna Glacier and Kanikula Glacier. These glacial systems carve through high-elevation terrain, feeding a network of drainages that descend into the lower valleys. The topography is defined by the sharp transition from permanent ice fields to the rugged stream beds of Granite Creek and Hidden Creek.
