Denali National Park encompasses much of this high-elevation terrain in the Talkeetna region, where the landscape is defined by its drainage networks rather than human infrastructure. The map depicts a transition of glacial-fed waters, most notably where Granite Creek flows southward through deep topographical contours. These drainages, including Wildhorse Creek and Hidden Creek, illustrate the complex hydrology of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough before these waters reach more populated downstream corridors. The absence of roads or established structures in this 2023 survey underscores the preserved, high-alpine character of the park's interior, providing a precise record of natural landforms and township boundaries within the public land survey system.
