The Alaska Range dominates this landscape within the Denali National Preserve, where high-elevation peaks and glacial features define the terrain. Mt Dall stands as a prominent landmark in the northeastern portion of the quadrangle, overlooking a complex network of ridgelines and valleys. To the southwest, the Kichatna Mountains rise sharply, contributing to the intense vertical relief of the region. The only major drainage system shown is the West Fork Yentna River, which flows through the southern section of the map. This area represents a wilderness environment where human infrastructure is absent, focused instead on the natural boundaries of the public land survey system, including t29n r17w and t28n r16w.
