The Red River defines the southern boundary of this borderland, where the state line meets the Cotton Co and Clay Co divide. The landscape is dominated by the meandering path of Cache Creek, which flows south to join the river. This confluence creates a complex network of waterways, including E Cache Cr and W Cache Cr, winding through the low-lying terrain. The small community of Taylor serves as the primary upland settlement, situated at a local road junction north of the river's wider floodplains. A grid of county routes, such as Co RD e1950 and Co RD n2620, provides access to the agricultural tracts between the creeks, while River Rd and Leath Rd skirt the edges of the river valley.
