Teton Buttes rise above a landscape defined by an intricate system of drainage channels and high plains in this section of Teton County. The northern boundary is marked by the Teton River, which is fed by numerous seasonal watercourses including Spring Cr and the waters of Hod Main Coulee. This area illustrates the characteristic topography of north-central Montana, where the land is carved by numerous coulees such as Klingensmith Coulee and Cashman Coulee.
