N Tule Lake and several smaller ephemeral water bodies define the drainage patterns of this High Plains landscape in Randall County. The land is organized by an extensive grid of county roads, such as Co Road B and Co Road F, which reflect the region’s agricultural development and the rectilinear nature of Texas land surveys. These corridors provide access to the rural homesteads and ranches that characterize the area south of the Prairie Dog Town Fork of the Red River.
