About this map

Glacial movement and high-altitude peaks dominate this portion of the Chugach Mountains as they appeared in the early 1950s. The landscape is defined by the massive Klutina Glacier, which feeds into the braided headwaters of the Klutina River. To the south and east, the Valdez Glacier and Tonsina Glacier carve through the terrain, separated by prominent summits including Mt Ourand, Mt Evans, and Sharp Pk.
