Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve encompasses most of this interior Alaskan terrain, where glacial drainage patterns dictate the landscape. The northern portion of the quadrangle is defined by the headwaters of the E Fork Chetaslina River, which flows westward through a series of steep contour gradients. Further south, the Cheshnina River cuts a significant path through the preserve, its braided channel indicative of a high-sediment mountain environment. This 2016 survey captures a purely natural landscape without roads or settlements, organized by the Public Land Survey System grids of t1n r6e, t1n r7e, t1s r6e, and t1s r7e. The map serves as a primary record of drainage and elevation in a remote section of the Copper River basin.
