Warren is the central hub of this Idaho County mountain landscape, situated at the confluence of Slaughter Creek and Warren Creek. The area’s mining heritage remains visible through the Unity Mine and Rescue Mine located just south of the settlement. These sites, along with the Warren Forest Service Facility, point to the region's historical reliance on mineral extraction and public land management.
