
Wellsville and Mendon anchor the western edge of Cache Valley in this survey of northern Utah. The landscape is defined by the steep rise of the Wellsville Mountains, which transition abruptly from the valley floor into the Cache National Forest and Wellsville Mountain Wilderness. This elevation shift creates numerous drainages like Gibson Canyon and Brushy Canyon that feed the agricultural lands below.
