Woodland and Samak anchor this high-elevation terrain where the Wasatch National Forest meets the Uinta National Forest. The landscape is defined by the winding course of the Provo River, which cuts through the center of the sheet near a Quarry and local Cem. Evidence of mountain resource use is scattered throughout, from the Fish Hatchery in the north near Beaver Creek to several prospects and an industrial pipeline that traverses the western slopes.
