Elevated terrain to the northeast is defined by the drainage systems of Lamoose Creek and Pistol Creek, with a Lookout Tower positioned on a high ridge for surveillance of the timbered slopes. Along the valley floor, an intricate network of Canals and a Pipeline indicate the importance of water management for local agriculture and industry. Further south, the settlement of Agency and the crossing of the Lake Co Missoula Co boundary mark the transition toward the southern reaches of the reservation.
