Noatak National Preserve encompasses the entirety of this Arctic landscape, where the elevation rises significantly from the southern river valleys. The hydrography is defined by the headwaters of several drainages, most notably Okiotak Creek, which flows south through the eastern half of the map area. In the central and northern sections, smaller tributaries like Kivivik Cr and Poto Cr cut through the high terrain. The map depicts a wilderness devoid of modern roads or settlements, organized by the Public Land Survey System grids of T28N R12W and surrounding townships. This layout illustrates the preservation of raw hydrological patterns and steep topographic contours within one of the most protected environments in the Northwest Arctic Borough.
