The sprawling site of Camp Gruber (Abandoned) dominates the central landscape of this mid-1970s survey, illustrating a massive military footprint transitioning back to state-managed wilderness. Much of the surrounding territory is divided between the Gruber State Game Management Area and the Greenleaf Lake State Park, where the impounded waters of Greenleaf Lake meet the drainage of Greenleaf Creek.
