Williston Highlands defines the northeastern sector of this Levy County landscape, showing a dense residential grid that contrasts sharply with the protected woodlands to the west. Much of the western half is dominated by the Goethe State Forest, where natural drainage features like Black Prong and Big Wolf Arbor create a distinct ecological footprint. The interior of the forest remains largely undeveloped, while the edges are marked by transitional spaces like Redtail Airstrip.
