Burley Draw and the surrounding high desert of Sweetwater County are defined by a complex system of seasonal drainages and washes that shape this Wyoming landscape. In the northern reaches, Black Butte Cr cuts through the terrain, while the southern portion is marked by the course of E Salt Wells Cr. The area is characterized by these intermittent water features, including Cedar Draw, Polly Draw, and Scheggs Draw, which illustrate the hydrologic patterns of the region.
