Flathead National Forest and Lolo National Forest converge in this high-elevation landscape of Powell County, Montana. The terrain is dominated by a series of prominent summits, including Crimson Peak, Puma Peak, and Goat Mtn, which define the drainage basins for numerous creeks. The eastern edge of the survey area shows Railley Mtn and Youngs Mtn standing over the winding course of Youngs Creek.
