Danville Area Community College and the Danville National Cem anchor the southern portion of this landscape where Illinois meets Indiana. The border between the two states is marked by the aptly named settlements of Illiana and State Line, where the local road network shifts from the Illinois range system to the Indiana section lines. This transition is further emphasized by the paths of Stoney Cr and Lick Cr which cut through the agricultural surroundings north of the city.
