The dramatic escarpment of the Book Cliffs dominates this 2017 survey of eastern Grand County, Utah. The landscape is defined by a complex network of erosional features, including Bull Canyon, Maverick Canyon, and the appropriately named Rough Canyon. These deep incisions into the high desert plateau demonstrate the powerful drainage systems of the region, where seasonal waters flow toward Westwater Cr and Sulphur Cr.
