Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve covers the central portion of this 2018 survey, encompassing a high-elevation landscape within the Southeast Fairbanks Census Area. The terrain is defined by the Mertie Mountains in the northeast, where contour lines indicate a series of prominent ridges and summits. In the southern reach of the quadrangle, the Goodpaster River winds through the valley, providing a primary drainage for the surrounding slopes. This area represents a transition between the rugged interior highlands and the riparian corridors of the Alaskan bush. The map also delineates several township and range boundaries, including t4s r19e and t5s r20e, which provide a formal legal grid for this largely undeveloped wilderness area during the early 21st century.
