Blue Cypress Lake dominates the northeastern corner of this Florida interior landscape, where the headwaters of the St. Johns River system begin to take shape. The terrain is defined by a complex network of wetlands and seasonal drainages, including Blue Cypress Cr, Padgett Branch, and Cow Log Br. These watercourses flow through a mosaic of marshland and prairie that straddles the borders of Osceola, Indian River, and Okeechobee counties.
