The area is defined by a series of crossroads settlements, many bearing the names of local families, including Keborts Corners, Allison Corners, and Halls Corners. In the northeast, the terrain rises toward Neason Hill near the bend of French Creek, where the infrastructure of Meadville begins to appear through the Port Meadville Airport and a classic mid-century Drive-in Theater. Transport history is clearly visible in the parallel routes of the Erie-Lackawanna and Bessemer and Lake Erie railroads, which carved paths through the marshy lowlands and serviced rural stops like Geneva and Watson Run.
