Abiquiu Lake dominates the southern portion of this northern New Mexico landscape, surrounded by high plateaus and ancient canyons. The area is anchored by the renowned Ghost Ranch, a place of significant cultural and geographic importance. To the north, the terrain rises into Mesa Montosa and Mesa del Yeso, where the arid environment required the development of specialized water infrastructure like Trick Tank Number Three and Wild Horse Tank.
