The Ahklun Mountains dominate this landscape within the Bethel Census Area, characterized by high-elevation peaks and a network of glacial drainage. High points such as Nagotligageivik Mtn and Kiugtlugtulit Mtn define the northern and central terrain, while Explorer Mtn and Ikuktlitlig Mtn anchor the southern reach. This wilderness is carved by numerous watercourses including the Tunulik River and the S Fork Indian River, which serve as primary drainage for the surrounding slopes.
