Noatak National Preserve encompasses much of this high-latitude terrain, where the Brooks Range landscape is defined by remote watercourses and mountain passes. The drainage of Flora Creek (also labeled as Flora Cr) flows through the southern half of the quadrangle, carving paths between high elevations such as Isikut Mtn in the west and the Howard Hills to the north. A significant geographical corridor is formed by Inyorurak Pass, which provides a natural transit point through the northern peaks. Near the southeastern corner, the Inyorurak Lakes sit within the lower-lying areas, illustrating the glacial and permafrost-driven hydrology of the North Slope region. This 2016 survey provides a precise look at the township and range lines, including t33n r10e and t32n r11e, across a largely roadless wilderness.
