The Aspen Range defines this high-elevation landscape in eastern Idaho, where the Great Columbia River Basin Divide snakes through the heart of the Caribou National Forest. Private ranching outposts like Bennett Ranch and Jougelard Ranch dot the northern valleys, while the industrial imprint of the G Portal (Conda Mine) appears on the western edge. The terrain is deeply carved by drainage systems including the North Sulphur Creek and Middle Sulphur Creek, which flow near the prominent Sulphur Pk. Numerous watering points such as Junction Spr and Burchert Spr supported the area's grazing and mining operations. This 1940s survey reveals a landscape of high-country resource extraction and remote homesteads connected by a network of established trails and the Fetterson Road.
