The Kenai Moose Range dominates this mid-century survey of the Kenai Peninsula, where high glacial ice meets a complex system of drainage and freshwater lakes. The massive Tustumena Glacier flows into the southeastern corner of the map, serving as the source for the waters that feed Tustumena Lake and Devils Bay. The northern portion of the quadrangle is defined by the headwaters of the Funny River and numerous high-elevation bodies of water like Timberline Lake and Wolverine Lake.

Evidence of human presence is sparse and concentrated, indicated only by a solitary Cabin near the Seward Base Line and Indian Creek. This data, primarily derived from 1950 aerial photography, captures the transition between the glacial mass and the surrounding timberline before modern access roads or infrastructure reached this interior segment of the range. The mapping shows an environment shaped by water, from the winding path of Bear Creek to the isolated basins of Emma Lake and Grotier Lake.
