Kildare and the nearby crossroads of Kildare Junction anchor this portion of Cass County, where the landscape is defined by the dense network of tributaries flowing toward the Cass and Marion County line. The terrain is notably wet, with Jim Bayou, Frazier Creek, and Timber Branch creating a complex drainage system across the southern half of the quadrangle. To the north, the small community of Huffins sits near the headwaters of Leek Creek and Cole Creek.
