1899 Map of Lexington

USGS Topo · Published 1939

About this map

Lexington and the surrounding Platte River Valley anchor this late 19th-century survey of south-central Nebraska. The landscape is defined by two major transcontinental rail corridors: the Union Pacific R. R. (Main Line) following the north bank of the Platte River through Cozad and Overton, and the Burlington and Missouri River R. R. (Cheyenne Line) cutting through the southern canyons toward Elwood.
