Little Kandiyohi Lake and its neighboring basins form a dense hydrographic network across this portion of Kandiyohi County. The landscape is defined by the hydrologic connections of the S Fork Crow River and the Big Kandiyohi Channel, which link larger bodies of water such as Lake Wakanda and Big Kandiyohi Lake. This complex wetland environment is managed through an extensive system of drainage infrastructure, including County Ditch Number Twentythree A and County Ditch Number Sixtyfour.
