Loomis serves as the primary residential hub in this corner of Okanogan County, where the high-altitude landscape is defined by the steep slopes of Douglas Mtn and Rattlesnake Mtn. The community sits at the foot of Palmer Mtn, near where Toats Coulee Creek and Sinlahekin Creek converge. A significant portion of the southern and eastern territory is dedicated to the Sinlahekin Deer Winter Range and Wildlife Refuge, protecting critical habitat along the creek bottoms and lake shores of Jim Black Lake and Stadium Lake.
