Noatak National Preserve encompasses the central geography of this remote Arctic interior survey. The landscape is defined by the hydrologic network of the Anisak River and its western tributaries, including Ignisirok Cr and Klim Cr. These waterways flow through a rugged mountain environment characterized by steep topographic relief, captured here in 2016 through high-resolution SPOT imagery and National Elevation Dataset contouring. The map illustrates a strictly natural domain within the North Slope Borough, where no roads or permanent settlements are documented, preserving the wilderness character of the western Brooks Range. The land is systematically organized by the Public Land Survey System, spanning portions of Townships 9, 10, and 11 South in Ranges 33 and 34 West.
