Ashley National Forest covers the high-altitude terrain shown here, defined by a series of deep drainages and prominent summits along the Daggett and Uintah county line. The northern edge of the map reaches the iconic Flaming Gorge, while the interior is dominated by peaks like Speirs Peak and Mt Lena. This landscape serves as a critical water source and recreation hub, evidenced by numerous named springs such as Buck Spring, Willie Spring, and Lost Spring. A network of back-country routes provides access to the backcountry, including the Don Hatch Memorial Trl and the Uinta Highline Trl. Significant geological features like McKee Draw and Greens Draw cut through the forest, leading toward the high ridgelines of Limestone Mtn in the south.
