The high-altitude mining landscape of the Mosquito Range is documented here during the early 1960s, showing a complex network of claims and peaks spanning the boundary between Lake and Park Counties. In the northwest corner, the concentration of industrial activity is evident at the Ibex Mines near Breece Hill and Printer Boy Hill. This area is heavily marked by the legacy of silver and gold extraction, with named tunnels and shafts such as the Julia Fiske Mine and the Hilltop Mine located high on the ridges.
