Ancient Cliff Dwelling sites are preserved within the high canyon walls of this territory, located within the Navajo Indian Reservation during the late 1960s. The landscape is defined by the sharp vertical relief of Small White Mesa and the drainage patterns of Moenkopi Wash and Cane Wash. Evidence of earlier land management persists through the marking of the Old Indian Reservation Boundary which cuts across the southern reach.
