Small rural communities such as Hadensville, Gum Spring, and East Leake serve as anchors for local life, supported by a network of country congregations like South Anna Ch and Providence Ch. Of particular historical note is the Shelfar Sch and the transition of the land as modern pipelines and roads marked as under construction begin to overlay the traditional farming and forest tracts of central Virginia.
