The confluence of river systems and rural road networks defines this area of North Mississippi along the border of Panola and Tallahatchie Counties. The Little Tallahatchie River and Yocona River dominate the low-lying western terrain, accompanied by the remnants of the Old Yocona River and Rayburn Bayou. This hydrological complex is bounded by a series of levees, including the Levee Rd, which separates the fertile river bottoms from the rising hills to the east.
