The Lewis & Clark National Forest dominates this landscape, characterized by dramatic limestone escarpments and a dense network of mountain streams. High peaks including Hurricane Mtn and Bum Shot Mtn rise above the drainage basins of the N Fork Teton River and several branches of Dupuyer Creek. The topography is defined by the massive ridge of Walling Reef, which runs north-south through the center of the sheet, and the striking formation known as Old Man of the Hills near the eastern boundary.
