Campbell Hill, the highest point in Ohio, rises prominently in the northwest corner of this Logan County landscape just outside Bellefontaine. In the early 1960s, this high ground was shared by the Bellefontaine Air Force Station and the Northeastern Sch, while the surrounding terrain breaks into the drainage of the Mad River. The map captures a transition in local infrastructure, noting several stretches of Old Grade and Proposed Grade roadwork cutting through Marmon Valley and near Zanesfield.
