The Tongue River Reservoir dominates the northern half of this landscape, its irregular shoreline reaching deep into the surrounding drainages of Corral Cr and Pearson Cr. In the south, the settlement of Decker sits at the junction of Co RD 314 and Decker RD, serving as a central hub for the network of county roads that navigate the high-plains terrain. The Tongue River itself flows south of the reservoir, flanked by the prominent Badger Hills. Numerous seasonal and perennial drainages like Squirrel Cr, Pond Cr, and Badger Cr carve through the section lines, defining the drainage patterns of Big Horn County. This 2017 survey reflects the modern road infrastructure and hydrological management of the region, including named routes such as Otter RD and Boardman RD which facilitate access to the surrounding ranchlands and recreational waters.
