About this map

Wood-Tikchik State Park encompasses much of this 1970s landscape, a region defined by an interconnected system of deep glacier-carved lakes and high alpine basins. The water network is the central feature, including the sprawling Amakuk Arm and the large southern expanse of Lake Nerka. These waters are fed by a complex system of tributaries such as Elva Creek and Little Togiak Creek, which drain from elevations like the Golden Horn.
