Evidence of large-scale placer mining is visible along Chititu Creek, where Dredge Tailings line the valley floor near Chititu Camp. The McCarthy May Creek Road provides the primary overland link through the river valley, terminating at the May Creek Landing Strip. The presence of numerous cabins along high-mountain gulches and smaller water bodies like the Baultoff Lakes illustrates a landscape shaped by persistent prospecting and seasonal residency.
